Well, it looks like all lip glosses and hand creams are safe again.

The Transportation Security Administration (www.tsa.gov) announced it had refined its liquid ban for airline travel. Read the release here: www.tsa.gov/press/releases/2006/press_release_09252006.shtm

Travelers will be able to bring on board one clear quart-size baggie containing travel-size toiletries. However, each individual liquid may be no more than 3 oz.
“After the initial, total ban, we have learned enough from the UK investigation to say with confidence that small, travel size liquids are safe to bring through security checkpoints in limited number,” said Assistant Secretary for TSA Kip Hawley.

The really good news is that we can now buy our Starbucks or water bottles sold inside security and bring them onboard.

“We have also taken additional security measures throughout the airport that make us comfortable allowing passengers to bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure area onboard,” Hawley added.

For anyone who regularly makes 6:00am flights, this may be the best news of the week.
