Moving Household Goods Not Stuff

Q: I have a comment. I enjoyed your recent article about moving. You provided really good suggestions for those thinking about moving.

I work for a moving company in Jessup, Md. I had one correction to your story: We never refer to customers’ things as “stuff.” They are goods. Keep up the great information.

A: It’s true: The official word for “stuff” in the world of moving jargon is “goods.” But I never think about the “goods” on my counter. However, I do think my “stuff” is often a mess (and my husband would agree).

I appreciate your contribution to the conversation.
