Q: Could you suggest a good “rewards” type credit card? I currently have a credit card bill that averages about $1,500 a month. I pay off the balance every month. I would like something with no annual fee but that would earn “points” for travel. I receive applications for different cards every month but I would truly value your opinion.
A: I think the best card you can get for rewards would be one that gives you cash. Check out Discover (1 percent cash back plus additional cash back offers in each quarter of the year) and the American Express Costco card. You get cash back for using the card and for shopping at Costco.
