Where Should Your Tax Dollars Go?

Real estate attorney Sam Tamkin responds to a reader who is upset by hearing about taxpayer dollars being used to help people stay in their homes.

I don’t mind paying taxes for things that I can see the use for: roads, public safety, garbage collection. And I don’t mind helping people who can’t help themselves. But I want to see the banks take some responsibility, too.
