Short Sale Might Not Be Possible When You Have Money To Pay Your Bills

A short sale of real estate is intended for people that can’t pay the amount owed on their property upon the sale of the home. A short sale occurs when you sell a property for less money that what is owed to the lender. If you have money to pay off the lender, the lender may not agree to a short sale and might require the owner to come to the closing with the amount needed to pay off all of the amounts that may be owed as a result of the sale, including the lender, the real estate brokers and anybody else that might be owed money from the sale of the home.

Buying REO Properties Not Always Successful

Buying REO properties (Real Estate Owned) is not as simple as buying a home from a seller you can talk to and see. REO properties are sometimes called bank owned properties. These bank owned or REO properties go through the corporate process. When you bid on the home, the bid gets sent to a black hole where a person working for the corporation or bank that is looking to sell that property and thousands of others has to deal with the offer. Sometimes those people dealing with the offers take too much time in responding to offers and in other cases, REO or bank owned property representatives have their own agenda in getting deals done.

How Will A Loan Modification Impact Your Credit?

As more and more people work towards a loan modification with their lender, they wonder how the loan will affect their credit score and credit history. The answer is not pretty. While it may be in the borrower’s best interest to obtain a loan modification, the lender will generally report the borrower either late or delinquent in his or her payments on the loan, particularly during a temporary loan modification. Then with the permanent loan modification, the lender will provide the credit reporting bureaus with information stating that the borrower is paying on the loan under a loan modification.

FBI Warns Of New Twist In Counterfeit Check Scheme Counterfeit check schemes involving the wiring of money to a bank account overseas have been frequently reported to the FBI. The FBI now warns of a new twist in counterfeit check schemes where the fraudulent client emails as an an ex-wife in an Asian country soliciting a U.S. law firm’s assistance in recovering divorce settlement funds.
