How to find a job in the New Year. Plus guest Eva Rosenberg, with her tax advice, discusses how small business owners can plan for the 2012 tax season. And as usual, providing personal finance advice, real estate advice and consumer advice on the Ilyce Glink Show December 18, 2011 on WSB Radio.

On this last show before Christmas, we devote an hour to discussing how to find a job in the New Year. The national unemployment rate has fallen to 8.5 percent. We have a long way to go but there may be hope for job seekers in 2012. Callers and I discuss some best practices and tips for gaining employment this coming year.

The end of the year also means it’s time to start thinking about taxes. Special guest Eva Rosenberg, an Enrolled Agent and Equifax Finance Blog contributor, tells us how small business owners can plan for losses after a tough year. In 2009, over 27 percent of small business purveyors reported a year in the red. 2011 figures are not available but there is little reason to suspect marked improvement. Eva and I discuss how to remain proactive, tax deductions and other tax-related topics.
