Real estate team building may be the key for realtors coming out of the housing market’s Great Recession. I just finished working with the FMLS at Showcase 2012 where we discussed this. But whether you’re looking for an investment or are a property seller, real estate team building will be critical for everyone.  And as usual, providing personal finance advice, real estate advice and consumer advice on the Ilyce Glink Show August 26, 2012 on WSB Radio.

I want to begin the show with a shout-out of thanks to the FMLS and the Georgia Association of Realtors for having me at Showcase 2012, a real estate advice event where we discussed how real estate agents can use inflection points, or dramatic moments, to change the way they do business. Because when we finally come back from the Great Recession, and Georgia real estate is doing that, you’re going to have to be a different type of realtor when it comes to moving property. Understanding that has been somewhat of a challenge for agents, but we’re carrying the conversation forward.

This has me thinking about real estate team building in general, the way that aligning yourself with the right people when it comes to the housing market is more important than ever. Whether you’re making an investment or a seller, you need a strong team behind you.

But this is true in any business. You’re only as good as your team – or its weakest member. In school, a good support system is critical. Team building is one of the most crucial things to consider in all areas of your life. What does your team look like? Callers and I discuss.
