On this week’s Ilyce Glink Show on WSB Radio, Ilyce discussed unemployment numbers and whether or not they represent a strong economy.
The unemployment rate is officially at 7.4 percent and the U6 unemployment rate (the broadest measure of unemployment) is at 14 percent. Ilyce said that this alone is not the picture of a strong economy. And even though the numbers have come down and are better than what they were, there are all kinds of fudge factors that make it hard to understand just how healthy the economy really is.
