Lindsey Piegza, Chief Economist, Sterne Agee
Lindsey is the Chief Economist for Sterne Agee, specializing in the research and analysis of economic trends and activity, world economies, financial markets and fiscal policies.
Prior to her role with Sterne Agee, Piegza served as an economist for FTN Financial for eight years. While with FTN, Piegza compiled daily and weekly commentary and was a highly sought after speaker across national and international forums. Prior to joining the economic division of FTN Financial in early 2005, Lindsey spent two years as a research analyst in the mortgage strategy group in Chicago.
In addition to more than 10 years of experience, Piegza has published several academic papers in journals such as Harvard Business Review as well as in textbooks published by the Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Often quoted in the business press, Piegza is a regular guest on CNBC and Fox Business as well as national radio and other business news outlets.
She is a graduate of Northwestern University, a Ph.D. candidate at City University of New York and is based in Sterne Agee’s Chicago office.

Michele Serro – Founder, Doorsteps
Michele Serro is the founder and CEO of Doorsteps, owned by Move, Inc., the operator of Realtor.com. Doorsteps helps future homebuyers make smart decisions on the path to homeownership.
A former opera singer, Michele has spent 15 years working in design and innovation before turning her sights and passion on making homebuying human. She’s bought two apartments in New York City— two experiences that inspired the initial idea. Michele is fascinated with finding better, more human-centered ways to harness the internet to support people through major life events.
Recently, she was as Associate Partner at IDEO, an innovation and design consultancy, and was one of the founders of the New York office. Michele has been known to bust out in song. She is a graduate of The Juilliard School and Indiana University.
