- Q: I love your show and try to listen to it as much as possible, and although the question below may not be in your realm of expertise any feedback you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
I am thinking about purchasing a new car to replace my 12 year old Honda Civic which is on its last legs (so to speak).
I have not had a car note in about 12 years and when I first bought my Honda I had it paid for in full within the 1st year that I had it, and now I want to buy a new car and pay for it in full on the day that I go to the dealership. However, my wife has been telling me that I should take out a four year loan and build up some credit, but I hate having to think about making a monthly car payment for the next 4 years especially since I don't think that my credit is in bad standing, in fact it’s in very good standing. Plus, if I pay for it in full then I can still take part of that money and put it into a money market account and also put aside the other half for future car maintenance, repairs, and annual auto insurance.
What do you think, do you think it would be better for me to take out a loan, or is it best to go ahead and pay for the car in full since I have the money to do so?
Also, if I decide to pay for the car in full, are there any special precautions I should know about? What is the best way to go about paying for the car in full? ..more (8/11/2007) - Q: Dear Ilyce:
I hope this finds you well. I always enjoy your program on AM 750 WSB- Atlanta, Ga.
It is my understanding that the commissions in the real estate note brokering industry range from 2 to 8 percent of the transaction amount. Is this right? I welcome your thoughts/comments at your convenience. ..more (8/4/2007) - Q: I want to write a contract with a family member to become tenants in common. Where can I find all the information I will need about property, survivorship, etc. ..more (7/28/2007)
- Q: I am 60 years old and I'm thinking about retirement. I need information about where to move my 401(k) money, so I can live off the interest, and not have to pay taxes when I move it. ..more (7/21/2007)
- Q: I enjoy listening to you on WBS Atlanta on Sunday. Your show is very informative. Your sensitive but practical approach is refreshing! I have been listening to Ray Lucia (“The Buckets of Money”) man who talks about placing part of your retirement investment into non-traded REIT(s). What is your opinion and can you direct me to a local financial planner (or company) that specializes in this area?
Thank you and keep up the great work! ..more (7/14/2007) - Q: We went to your site, www.annualcreditreport.com, asked for our FREE credit bureau files, and paid $7.95 for our score, and when we went to view both the files and the score, it said they were sorry, but they were unable to give us either over the internet, and for us to contact
each credit bureau seperately. THEY TOOK MY $7.95 though.
They better not charge my credit card. I WILL REPORT YOU AND YOUR SITE REFERRAL TO my attorney, the Tampa Tribune Editor in Chief, and ALL THREE CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES. RESPOND IMMEDIATELY. ..more (7/7/2007)
