Who is Cenlar FSB?
Cenlar FSB d/b/a Central Loan Administration & Reporting (CENLAR), located in Ewing, NJ, is a privately owned, federally chartered savings bank that specializes in mortgage servicing nationwide. We have serviced residential loans for over 50 years.
How do I order a payoff statement?
Please e-mail the following information to TBWpayoff@cenlar.com
- Your 10 digit Cenlar loan number or the TBW loan number
- Attach borrower’s authorization to release payoff statement or authenticate by providing the last 4 digits of their social security number
- A fax number for delivery, or if to be mailed, include your mailing address
- Your telephone number
- The expected payoff date (cannot be more than 30 days out)
I am on automatic draft, will my payment continue to be automatically withdrawn?
If your loan payment drafted in the past this service will continue. There is nothing that you are required to do at this time. September and subsequent payments will be drafted no later than the next scheduled draft date. If your payment did not draft in the month of August it will be drafted at a later date once the servicing transfer is complete. We will notify you accordingly. Please be assured that there will be no adverse credit reporting or action taken as a result of delays. Your patience is appreciated.
What do I do if the mortgage payment I made by check to TBW for the period August 2009 has not yet cleared my bank account?
As a result of the transition of the servicing of the loans from TBW to Cenlar, some borrower checks/payments have been delayed in the forwarding from TBW to Cenlar. As soon as Cenlar is in receipt of your payment, you can be assured it will be applied to your loan promptly. It may take some time, but we will work with you to address this issue. Please be assured that we will properly account for all payments made to TBW. You will not be assessed a late fee as a result of any delay in payment processing during this transition period. In the event your payment is not properly applied to your mortgage balance, we will work with you to resolve any issues that occurred during the transition period, including waiving late charges when applicable and making appropriate adjustments to payment and credit records.
What should I do now? Should I stop payment on my check? Should I send you a new check?
Please don’t do anything right now. We are working to resolve this issue and still hope to be able to process your check in the normal course. As we mentioned above, you will not be assessed a late fee as a result of any delay in payment processing during this transition period. In the event your payment is not properly applied to your mortgage balance, we will work with you to resolve any issues that occurred during the transition period, including waiving late charges when applicable and making appropriate adjustments to payment and credit records.
Will I be assessed a late charge during the transition period?
No late charges or adverse reporting to credit bureaus will be assessed during the first 60 days.

how do i know if you have my account or not?
Sam says
No one picks up phone at CENLAR customer service.
Cara says
You are right....no one is picking up at 609-883-3900 at 2:45pm. Does anyone know if Cenlar is using the HARP program with TB&W customers yet?
Cara says
Martha, we received paperwork in the mail from Cenlar, but in mid-August I had called Bank of America hoping they had our loan. It will narrow your choices. I am assuming you were TB&W.
Rosemarie says
I am very uncomfortable with this new situation. I have been trying to reach Cenlar since receiving loan information on Aug 25. As of this date, Sept. 14, the line is busy, recording says wait on next available rep/ or the technology system is down. There is no alternate phone number and e-mail response is stock answer as it appears on Cenlar web site. Nothing that is happening makes me feel that I am dealing with a reputable company.
JO says
I too had issues contacting Cenlar, however, I just kept hanging up and re-dialing using the re-dial feature on my phone. After about 20 tries I got thru. They were able to help and they did give me my new loan #. I signed up online and I'm now able to view everything related to my loan including making payments. The number I called was 877.680.5583.
Stephanie Corbin says
I work for an Insurance Company and this company hasn't paid my clients escrow account, no one anwers the phone #'s listed, my clients account will cancel in a few day if we don't receive payment, someone help me please get in contact with these people.
Donna Nye says
I have not been able to get through by phone, there was no website or e-mail address included in the letter I was sent from CENLAR and I have only read negative comments about this company.
Alissa Eller says
I totally agree. I don't know what to do. My insurance is being canceled. My agent has tried to contact this company. Their website doesn't work for a phone contact. The phone number on the paperwork sent to me was wrong. The number that I finally got through on at first is no longer in service. What is going on, how can I fix this?
nicholas&Catherine Soukaras says
I need to recieve payment coupons or statements like i got from TBW. I really liked them. I hope this company can get it together soon. My payment is due the first of the month. HELP!!!!
Jay says
The first letter I got requested payment, so I sent a check. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAD AUTOPAY THROUGH TBW. Because they also drafted from my autopay account, now I have made two payments for september! The web site is awful and the one phone number they sent me tells me to go to the website and hangs up! Im used to doing everything through a web interface, now I have no control and no one answers the phone, and the email address just comes back to me with the FAQ email.
jay says
I finally got a person on the line. If forwards to India.
jay says
The number I called was 877.680.5583. Stay on hold for 15 minutes.
Keith says
After TB&W went belly up, our insurance payment came due. Its supposed to be paid out of escrow, but I can't get TB&W or CENLAR, who is supposedly servicing my loan now, to talk to me. We just had to suck it up and pay the premium to keep our insurance coverage. Now we may go belly up, due to this unexpected large bill!
Cathy S. says
I finally did get payment coupon with another letter. It says where to send your tax and insurance bill. Insurance address is central loan Administration & Reporting.P.O. Box 202028,Florence,SC 29502-2028. Tax Address is Central Loan and Admin & Reporting, 6053 S. Fashion Square Dr. Suite 200, Murray,UT 84107. I haven't tried this yet . I'm gonna call my ins co and city hall first. I hope this helps....
Nick says
Are they gonna pay my tax bill and insurance bill out of escrow like TBW?????
Disgruntled Person says
This company is a complete joke. Just in case anyone is wondering, they will start charging a fee to make online payments starting 1 October 2009. Can someone please report this company to the BBB or consumer reports or congress? What a terrible loan servicing company!!!!!
Suspicious says
Isn't there something about Full Disclosure when they move loans around? Shouldn't there be something more official to prompt us to suddenly send our HOUSE PAYMENTS to another address w/ another name on the payee line? Bill of sale, trustee deed, something?? What happens if I just STOP paying anyone but my insurance?
Robert says
I have been notified they are not paying my insurance out of escrow. Is this company American or foreign? Very strange name.
Connie says
I made my pay't through TB&W but it hasn't posted yet but made a new pay't through Cenlar so it is showing my loan past due. I was told to do nothing right now and they would collect from TB&W. What about our credit information???? I don't want my credit score messed up b/c of the very very unorganized take over of our mortgage company!!!
Cathy says
Why would tthey not pay our insurance out of escrow? It was set up that way through TBW. In there letter it says everything willl be the same. I don't understand. What did your letter say???
Peg says
Wow, I didn't know things were so bad. I too paid Cenlar by check and then they drafted from my account. As a result I had overdrafts on my account. I called them and they said they would send a check within 10 business days. It's been over 30 days and no check!!!!!
JUDY says
I am hoping by now that this issue is settled. they cashed 2 checks, drafted twice and my account was severly overdrawn,. They told me they do not contact my bank to tell them it was their fault, nor are they paying my overdraft charges.
Jack says
We have not recieved a payment schedule or book and are due a payment. How long does it take them to set it up? The comments are very discouraging to say the least.
John Hashek says
My loan modification plan is no where to be found from TBW to Cenlar and no response from Cenlar. No help from HUD you have to hire an Attorney and take them to court!! Let the judge do the talkin!
Mia says
I agree with John....I applied for the loan modification with TBW in March and now no ones knows where the paper work is
Pat says
We recently received an Annual Escrow Account Disclosure Statement that had several discrpeancies. They are trying to double the amount of our property taxes and and raising our payment by more then $300. They gave us a Fax Number to fax a letter stating that we will play our own taxes and insusrance but all I get is a busy signal.
CURTIS J. RAYNER says
WOULD LIKE TO ADD ANOTHER PERSON TO MY LOAN. PLEASE E MAIL ME ON HOW TO DO THIS CURT0613@AOL.COM
Pat B. says
I've seen nothing to indicate that this is a reputable company. There is no communication and no customer service, no monthly statements. It seems there is a network of people with no clue as to what's going on about our loans and will tell or promise customers anything and do NOTHING.. They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau by all 270,000 customers they inherited from Taylor Bean Whitaker.
Pat B says
Oh, I forgot to warn all of you... Be leary of giving any of them your checking account information. I authorized ONE telephone payment, and they took TWO from my checking account.... These people are not to be trusted with anything.
Tim says
I have called this loan company 3 times trying to get a statement, then telling me i will be charged a late fee if not there by the 15 th , this is a really bad joke for someone who has always paid there morgage on time.
Cathy says
I hear ya...I too have been asking for a statement and have only recieved the one that came with the original letter. So I made copies of that one and I have been using them...Why can't we get our payment statements or coupons like they said they would send???? I too always pay on time. Whats up with this company?
MARY says
ONLY FOR YOUR INFORMATION THIS COMPANY IS NOT ACCREDITED BY BBB. it has a rating of C- on a scale from A+ to F.
Tim says
Quess what people no statement for this month either. They are swamped with paper work but we still want you to send your check. Can there be a happy ending to this. Will someone please buy my loan.
Cathy says
I called another number for customer service and asked AGAIN for a statement or coupon book. Still nothing......I'm so sick of this.
dena says
I have never experienced this sort of problems with my mortgage Co.Cant email or get anyboby on phone, thay are sending me bills for extra mortgage and going up on my monthly bill.I have a fixed loan, what is going on??are they crooks?t
Red says
Have never been treated so bad in my life. Why is our goverment letting them do this in times like these.
megan says
hard working americans paying their mortgage on time, get treated like this! It is an outrage. Customer service skills definetly need to be addressed by this company.
Shay says
I have been trying since 8/31 (after the TBW takeover) to get them to pay our real estate taxes out of the mortgage escrow as they are supposed to. It's now 12/28 and they are still unpaid after 9 phone calls and 6 faxes. Now their customer service is back to the "higher than expected call volume" nonsense. And who's going to be responsible for the extra $750 in penalties for the delay??? I'm sure that will be us! Don't know who to even go to about this - my state representative maybe?
Cathy says
Has anyone recieved a statement yet? I still havent gotten anything from them. The people I spoke to on the phone said I would recieve three Ha! What a bad joke
Shay says
RELIEF! After many problems listed in my previous post 12/28, I followed someone's suggestion here. I found an internet listing of executive e-mail addresses and sent a kind, but to the point e-mail of my problems with specific alternatives to address the problem. I got a call from them on 12/29 and my tax payment was overnighted to my tax bureau and Cenlar paid the penalty. The woman gave me her direct line and told me to feel free to contact her again if I had any additional problems. Thank you for the suggestion!
Ellen says
This company has done the same thing to me as they did to Pat! My payments with TBW were 776.00 a month and I have been paying Cenlar 1,119.73 a month and they are trying to say it is my property tax! I have talked to numerous representatives and get a differant response every time! And, nothing has been resolved! It is very frustrating and now putting lots of stress in my life that I do not need. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know
Bridget B says
When dealing with such a suspicious company, I like to send important correspondence with a delivery confirmation. I got this physical address, I think, one time when I got through to a real live person at CenLAR. He told me that it was very important that I NOT use if just for U.S. Postal Service Delivery Confirmation Receipt (the white slip with the lime green strips on it). I could only use it for ? FedEX ?, ? USPS Express Mail? I use it to send my mortgage payments, though I think I have sent them non-FedEx, non-Express. Anyway, for those who are looking for a physical address, the one I was given seems to match this address on an archived Foreclosure Notice (a newspaper legal notice). "the entity that has full authority to negotiate, amend, and modify all terms of the mortgage with the debtor is: Cenlar Federal Savings Bank, 425 Phillips Boulevard, Ewing, NY 08618 (609) 883-3900 " FYI
Cathy says
I think that is the same address they gave me when I sent my extra escrow payment out through the post office even though We wavired the part of them having to sign. They told me I couldn't do that. It posted a month later. I still don't know about my property taxes. Can't even get that info yet....
Britt says
Have been dealing with this joke of a mortgage company since they to my loan after the fall of TB&W. I never once had a problem with TB&W, but spend most of the time on the phone with this company. I filed an insurance claim in Sept. the check was cut to Cenlar and the work was completed in Oct. I just received word that my check was returned from them... it is a constant excuse of what is going on with this company, I feel they are crooks.
trishhylton says
I made a extra payment to to TB&W in August which amounted almost 1200.00. I have yet to receive credit for this payment. They keep telling me all payments are not in. What do they think, I am stupid this has been 6 mths, Is there anyone who can help me,
