On the show this morning, I talked about the National Association of Realtors 2006 Home Buyer and Seller Study results that show sellers who use a real estate agent (preferably a Realtor) sell their home for 16 percent more than those who sell by owner (also known as FSBOs, or For Sale By Owner). Go to www.realtor.org/Publicaffairsweb.Nsf/Pages/Hmbuyersellersurvey06 to see the press release outlining some of the other survey results.
Some of the callers to today's show wondered if the homes Realtors listed were higher-priced than homes sold FSBO. I'll call over to my contacts at the NAR tomorrow morning to find out a little more about the methodology. I'll write up the results here, in the Blog. So, stay tuned.
We also talked about saving for college at the end of the show. I'll talk more about saving for college this week while filling in for Clark Howard. I'll be live on the air from 1-4 (EST) Monday through Friday on Newstalk 750 WSB. Go to www.wsbradio.com to listen online.
I hope you'll tune in.
