IN OTHER NEWS: In the fight against Identity Theft, Westchester County, NY passed a new law requiring local companies that offer wireless service to install basic protections to protect consumer's personal or financial information, such as credit card numbers. It also requires local companies to post information that lets consumers know that they should have firewalls installed on their computers if they're using a wireless service.

Local officials say they don't think there is a law like this anywhere else in the country, but there should be. Read the Boston Herald story about the new law here http://business.bostonherald.com/technologyNews/view.bg?articleid=136088
