As the spring blossoms are pushing up, so are new scams emerging. There's a new scam that's operating in some parts of the country involving teeth whiteners. But instead of getting their teeth whitened, folks are getting their bank accounts cleaned out. I'll have more on this scam and a few others that have appeared in the last few weeks at the top of Sunday's show at 11am.
Ben Bernanke, the new Federal Reserve Bank Chairman, was in Chicago this week for a banking conference. He said that the housing market appears to be heading for a soft landing. Well, some people already think it's too soft, and prices are dropping in some areas.
It's all a matter of supply and demand. So, how can you goose supply? I'll have some suggestions for home sellers on how to increase the number of prospective buyers crossing your threshold this spring selling season.
Finally, there are some new figures out about 401(k)s and other retirement plans. I'll talk about those and what you can do to keep boosting your investment returns over the long haul.
Of course, we'll take your questions and comments about your money and real estate. I hope you'll join us at www.wsbradio.com at 11am EST for the Ilyce Glink Show.
