Blog: How Much Does Your Car Cost You In A Year?
Added March 28, 2008 by Melanie G. RogersA few nights ago on National Public Radio there was discussion about neo-liberalism and how when someone is a neo-liberal he or she sees everything in market terms.
Maybe that's the approach Edmunds.com was aiming for when they released annual car ownership costs in conjunction with costs to raise a child. I know, I'm speculating.
Anyway, if you own a 2008 Toyota Camry, Edmunds estimates it will cost you $7,182 per year for five years.
Buy a 2008 Ford F-150 and expect to spend $10,108 annually.
And a 2008 Mercedes E-Class will run you $14,176 per year.
Edmunds' annual car ownership values include account average depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel, maintenance, repairs, taxes and fees.
