Blog: Today on the Clark Howard Show - July 6, 2009

Added July 6, 2009 by Ilyce R. Glink

Today on the Clark Howard Show, we're talking about foreclosure. It looks like housing defaults are expected to skyrocket, as the unemployment rate continues to rise and more homeowners stop making their mortgage payments.

Self-imposed foreclosure moratoriums are expiring and big lenders have indicated that they'll start to pursue homeowners who default on their mortgages more aggressively.

What can you do if you're behind in your mortgage payments? You might want to call the Hope for Homeowner hotline: 888-995-HOPE. You can also contact a HUD-certified housing counselor.

We'll walk through the numbers, and discuss the current state of the housing market. If you have questions about your money or real estate, call 404-872-0750 or 800-WSB-TALK 1-4pm ET.

You can listen live at wsbradio.com. I'll post show notes and updates here.
