Stock Market and Economic Indicator Tracking on the Clark Howard Show March 9, 2011 Lots of good news in the market today. The stock market is wobbling a little, related to the crisis in Libya and fears about oil supply. It’s also the second anniversary of the stock market crash of 3/9/09, when the Dow fell below 6700. U.S. wholesale inventories are up 1.1%, and sales are up 3.4%. Both of these numbers are above forecast and suggest that hiring may soon resume. Also, mortgage applications spiked 16%, which is the biggest gain since June 2010.
