School Loan Legislation Update

Yesterday on the show, we had a couple of questions about student loans. I referenced the student loan legislation, but didn’t really make it clear that the legislation (which would eliminate fees paid to banks and bring down the interest rate on student loans, which would be made directly by the government to students) hadn’t become a reality.

Here’s a link to a New York Times story from this morning that provides an update on the student loan legislation.

I also suggested parents begin their search for student loan information at the following websites:

ED.gov
College.gov
