Okay, folks. This year we are going to make a concerted effort to get Medicare to STOP putting social security numbers on Medicare cards. Moreover, we’re going to push to stop having Medicare-related service providers from requiring that you give your SSN everytime you want a refill on a prescription, or to get your bloodwork done, etc.

I think the way to do this is a grassroots effort that lets Medicare know they have to make a change — we’re sick of it.

This week, I’m going to call Medicare to find out what’s being done on this issue and what needs to happen to change this. I’ll find out who we have to call (whether it’s our congressional reps, Senators, head of Medicare, etc), write, and email to get this done. It’s an election year, so let’s see if we can get the will on Capitol Hill to protect our identities.

Are you with me? Check back here for details, and tune in next Sunday to the Ilyce Glink Show. I’ll have an update then as well.

Have a GREAT day!
