Frankly, I’m disgusted by the idea of a big company like HP hiring investigators to impersonate members of their board and journalists in order to get illegal access to telephone records. If this isn’t illegal, it should be.

In other news, we’ll look at identity theft — and the fact that the U.S. Commerce Department has lost 1,100 laptops in the past 5 years.

Well, at least they’re doing their part for the economy.
