Bruce Japsen

Bruce is a former health care business reporter at the Chicago Tribune and Crain’s Modern Healthcare magazine who currently writes for Forbes, the New York Times, and Chicago Medicine magazine. He writes about Obama administration policies, pharmaceutical and device makers, economic issues, managed-care companies, doctor practices and other physician issues.

He has more than 20 years of professional journalism experience, including newspaper, TV, radio and web-based media. He is a frequent guest analyst on WGN, WTTW’s Chicago Tonight and CBS-owned WBBM Newsradio-780. In addition, he hosts programming on ReachMD’s XM Satellite channel 167.

He teaches writing to medical professionals at the University of Chicago’s Graham School of General Studies and journalism at Loyola University of Chicago.

Dick Lepre

Dick Lepre has been doing mortgages online since 1995. He works for the San Francisco office of Residential Pacific Mortgage, a mortgage bank.

Since June 1995, Dick has produced a weekly newsletter called RateWatch which is received by over 25,000 people each week.

Dick Lepre graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Physics. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work for the Military Applications Group at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. After moving to San Francisco he became an independent computer consultant. In the mid-1980’s he developed a loan origination system for Continental Savings of America.

In 1991 he started working as a loan officer for HomeOwners Finance Center and, within a year, became the top producer. In 1995 he created an internet site – Homeowners.com – which became an early standard for on-line mortgage lending.

Farnoosh Torabi

Farnoosh Torabi is a personal finance expert, author and TV personality.
