If you’re selling by owner, you have two jobs: The job of the seller and the job of the agent, which involved pricing the property correctly and marketing it in tough times.

You should check out these websites that are a cornerstone for any online marketing program:

www.forsalebyowner.com (The largest FSBO website, there are others you can look into as well. You’ll want to pay the extra amount so you’re listed in the local MLS, which will obligate you to pay a half commission to the buyer’s agent.)

www.zillow.com (Plant an electronic “for sale” flag at your properties address and upload a bunch of photos.)

www.craigslist.com (You can list your property for sale for free, but you’ll have to relist it every 7 days. The most recent listings pop up at the top, so almost immediately, you’ll be pushed down.)

www.ebay.com (An active real estate marketplace.)

You should also set up your own website with videos, photos, information about the property and contact information. For examples of what a property video should look like, go to my site, www.expertrealestatetips.net or to www.YouTube.com/expertrealestatetips and look for the two house videos we’ve done.

If anyone else has any other online marketing tips, please post them here.
