Black Friday, Cyber Monday listener deals of the day. How people save money with post-Thanksgiving shopping. And as usual, providing personal finance advice, real estate advice and consumer advice with Ilyce Glink on the Clark Howard Show November 25, 2011 on WSB Radio.

It’s the day after Thanksgiving and I am filling in for Clark Howard, who I saw on HSN this morning discussing fake iPads. The day after everyone slips into a food coma is famously known as Black Friday, one of the biggest shopping days of the year. This will be followed next week by Cyber Monday. We talk about ways to save money with deals of the day.

This year, for the first time, I got a call from my friend Lenora. She was going out Thursday night to Macy’s department store’s “Midnight Madness” shopping event. Lenora is an astute clothing shopper and always looks great. These late Thursday night sales triggered some mixed emotions for people. Everyone likes to save money but many felt sympathy for the employees who had to report to the sales floor after a long day of cooking and cleaning.

After I spoke to Lenora, I started to watch the news reports. How insane have the sales gotten? People got pepper sprayed over door busters! Really? Violent injuries occurred throughout the country, several incident occurring at Wal-Mart stores alone. What is going on?

Callers and I discuss.
