Home theater projectors used to cost too much. Today, with the wide selection of home theater projectors on the market, you can create your own home cinema for a moderate price. Mitsubishi designed some new home theater projectors for the average family.

The newest Mitsubishi home theater projector is the FL 7000. This high brightness home theater projector can be used in a normal room.

“That means you don’t have to be in a cave like most home theaters are,” says James Chan, a Mitsubishi representative. “You could be in a normal family room with enough windows, ambient lighting.”

This home theater projector is on the high end of the Mitsubishi line with a price tag to match. This Mitsubishi home theater projector costs $15,000. The price is so high because this home theater projector is powerful enough to work in a large auditorium in a corporate setting, but it will still provide a beautiful picture in your home.

Mitsubishi has some cheaper options for a home theater projector, including a few different models, like the HC4900. These home theater projectors are more affordable, with price tags under $2,000. This Mitsubishi home theater projector is available at retail stores like Best Buy. If you compare a home theater projector to a flat screen TV, you can make the projector screen as large as your wall space allows. Dollars-per-inch, that’s a pretty good value.

If you want to set up a home theater projector in your house, be sure to consider the following:

You will need a room with open wall space for projecting the image. It’s best if this wall is white, or a similar neutral color.
If you’re set on having a high definition home theater projector, you’ll want to make sure that the projector you purchase has a resolution of 1080p, the high definition standard.
