Home Improvement Projects That Add Value

Today Ilyce Glink talks about home improvement projects that add value to your home and pay for themselves.

If you’re going to spend your hard-earned cash fixing up your home, you’ll want to get the biggest bang for your buck. But do you know which home improvement project has the biggest payoff?

Remodeling Magazine routinely looks at the top home improvement projects and their expected payoff.

In the new 2013 survey, it turns out that replacing your front door has the biggest payoff. If you spend $1,000, you can expect a return of about $850, if you sell your home within a year of the remodel.

Great tips. Can you please do a story about getting a house ready for the spring selling season. What does a seller have to do on the inside and outside? Please show and tell for cindos and smaller houses

Sure, Ellen. We can certainly work on a story about this. I don’t think Condos have to do much about getting the exterior ready, however. I’m just hopeful the building management is handling things.

I’m looking for show notes for show broadcast on March 10 on WSB. In particular, I’m looking for advice and websites you gave a widow with regards to her treatment by her bank. I’m in similar situation, but was driving and couldn’t take notes. I don’t need a replay of show, just websites I should use to get help. Thank you. Karen
